Mission Statement:

The purpose of Madison First United Methodist Church is to make
Disciples ofJesus Christ who make Disciples of Jesus Christ. We
exist to help people meet Jesus, know Jesus, and serve Jesus.

Vision Statement:
Madison First United Methodist Church fulfills the need for a safe place
to consider and respond to the Gospel Message. We insure that all those
we encounter experience the warm and helpful support they need as they
walk life's journey. We commit ourselves to living the Biblical model of
the church.

We stand on the following values:
We obey the Great Commandment by loving God first, then loving each other after the example of Christ's love for us. (Matthew 22: 37-39).

We fulfill the Great Commission as we make disciples, baptizing them and helping them grow in obedience to Christ. (Matthew 28: 19-20).

We are convinced that what matters to God also matters to us. We believe that no Church can stand still. Its relationship with God is a journey that must move forward or die. We follow the example of Jesus, serving people as we promote justice and fulfill their physical and spiritual needs. We stand firmly on our heritage as United Methodist which is grounded in the primacy of Scripture as informed by Christian tradition, enlivened in experience, and tested by reason. Christ centered worship, prayer, giving, and service represent natural responses to a meaningful relationship with our living Savior.

THANK YOU SO MUCH:  “I want to give thanks to our all mighty Lord. The chemo pill that I take daily is killing the cancer that had spread to my liver. Billy and I want to thank everyone for their prayers, love and concern.  We are so very appreciative of our church family. I am a walking testament to God's healing powers and give all praise and glory to Him. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”        Dianne Sullivan

SPECIAL THANK YOU“I cannot begin to express my appreciation for the outpouring of love you all showered on me in June.  It was overwhelming!  The lovely cards, heartfelt notes, and generous gifts were beyond belief.  The choir presented me with the beautiful vase on the altar.  If you look closely, you will see an inscription, “Let My Life Song Sing to You, Thank You for Your Music Ministry, 2004-2017, Love FUMC Choir.”   I will cherish forever my time as your Music Director.  Serving our Lord through music has been my calling, my honor, and my privilege. You were my joy!”        Lynn Corbin

Simply meet me at the church entrance 10 minutes before the service starts, and I will have the wands ready. Please sign up on the acolyte schedule, or contact me via email or text, Amy Webb (850) 973-0585 email: If you see someone's name on the list that you don't know very well, sign up with them!
