Billy is a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Madison, FL. He and his wife, Dianne, have two daughters and three grandchildren.
Both Billy and Dianne have served nine year terms as trustees of the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home. Billy has served on the Finance and
Staff Parish Relations Committees at First United Methodist Church which he chaired for the past two years. He is now the Church Council Chair.
Bailey answered the call to be the Lay Leader of the church in January 2016. His desire is to help the church grow spiritually and become a beacon for Christ in the community.
Bailey is originally from Dunn, North Carolina and attended NC State University receiving a degree in Engineering Operations. He has over 40 years in Engineering and Environmental & Safety Management in the Private and Public sectors. In 1985, he relocated to Madison from North Carolina with ITT where he met and married the love of his life, Ethel. They have been members of the Methodist Church since June 8, 2008.
Bailey is humbled and excited to serve the people of Madison First United Methodist Church.
Pastor Lamar was born in Rockledge, Florida and raised in Shady Grove, Florida by his grandparents who farmed and raised livestock just fourteen miles from Madison. He is married to Vivian who was born and raised in Monticello, Florida. They have four children all of whom are married and they have two grand daughters (Charlotte Grace, age 5 and Ruby Claire, age 2). He is a graduate of North Florida Junior College 1973 – 1975; Florida State University 1981, with Major in History; Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky 1985, with the degree of Master of Divinity.
Throughout pastor Lamar’s ministry he states, “It is has been my calling and goal to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ and make disciples for Him, in order to bring others into the kingdom of God. Our great task of ministry and mission, through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, is to strengthen the local church for the very purpose of going beyond the walls of the church; and in so doing transform the world."
Pock'o Vause joined our team on July 8th, 2013. Pock'o grew up in Tallahassee, but now resides in Waukeenah, Florida. He has a business backround and has coached football, however, his passion and calling is Working with Youth.
Pock'o has 29 years of experience in Youth Ministry with 22 years of it on a Church Staff. Now he is excited to be on our staff at First United Methodist Church of Madison and we are excited to have him.
Lynn has brought our Choir to a new level of excellence. She also directs "the
Mickler Handbell Choir" and our "Alpha Singers".

Lynn is a Professor of Music at Valdosta State University and is also the Director of the Valdosta Choral Guild - a position she has held since 1998.
Before coming to work in Valdosta, GA, Lynn was the music consultant for the State of Ohio Department of Education and on the faculty of Ohio State University (Marion) for 12 years.
She has sung professionally with Cantari Singers of Columbus and with the Robert Shaw Festival Singers in France and Carnegie Hall. Her public scool teaching experience includes junior high, choral, and instrumental and senior high choral. She holds degrees from Otterbein College and Ohio State University.

Mary Helen is our Church Administrator. She does a great job of running the church with style and grace and a smile on her face.
Mary Helen was born and raised in Madison, FL and now resides in Pinetta, FL with her husband, Terry. Terry is retired from the Army and later the Sheriff's Department. They have two married children and their their first grand child, Isabel Anne, just arrived (January 2010).
Mary Helen came back to the Madison area after her husband retired from the military. She is thrilled to be working for the church that she grew up in and married in. She loves the people here and says " I have finally found a place where my spiritual gifts can be used and grow."

Analine Acosta is a Brazil born professional pianist. She began studying classic piano at the age of 11. Ms. Acosta received her bachelor's degree in piano performance in 2011 at Universidade Sagrado Coração. In 2013 she received an assistantship to study at Valdosta State University and in 2015 received her Master's in Piano Performance under Dr. Lyle Indergaard. Analine has played for several choirs in Brazil and USA, and has also worked accompanying several instruments and ensembles. Since early age Analine has participated in many music festivals in Brazil, Chile, Argentina and US. In addition, Ms. Acosta has numerous years of experience in private and group piano instruction within various schools and universities around Brazil as well as the US.
Alston recently answered the call to manage the FUMC website. He has been updating the Website weekly with the weekly Bulletin, as well as adding new photos.
Alston has been an active member of Madison's FUMC since 1972, serving on the Administrative Council and he Staff Parish committee. serving as Chair on both. In addition he taught Middle School Sunday School many years.
Alston has been an active Gideon since 1986, serving as President and being an active speaker for The Gideon"s International for many years.
Alston is originally from Gainesville, Florida. He attended and Graduated from Florida State University, with a degree in Criminology. He served as a Juvenile Probation Officer and Child abuse investigator for 30 years in Madison and surrounding counties. He and his wife Kay of 45 years have two children and three granddaughters. In retirement they have enjoyed traveling.
